WE FOR GENDER EQUALITY & INCLUSIVE SOCIETY
Lead like The babaylans, filipinas!
Celebrating National Women's Month 2026 at Bataan Peninsula State University. Honoring the strength, leadership, and enduring spirit of the Filipina heritage through the lens of gender equality and collective inclusion.
Welcome to our Women’s Month advocacy website. This platform was created to celebrate the strength, leadership, and contributions of women while promoting gender equality in our communities.
Every March, the Philippines celebrates National Women’s Month under the leadership of the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW). The 2026 theme, “WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society,” reminds us that achieving equality is a shared responsibility of everyone women, men, youth, and communities.
With the sub-theme “Lead like the Babaylans, Filipinas!”, this year’s celebration highlights the powerful leadership of Filipino women throughout history and encourages today’s generation to continue advocating for equality and inclusion.
Through this website, we share advocacy materials such as posters, poems, interviews, and campaign videos that aim to educate, inspire, and encourage participation in Women’s Month activities.
How our campaign supports PCW initiatives?
This infographic highlights key activities of the National Women’s Month Celebration led by the Philippine Commission on Women. The campaign promotes gender equality, women’s empowerment, and inclusive leadership through initiatives such as the #GADtoKnow Campaign, #SheSays Digital Storytelling, and Purple Wednesdays.
The contents of our website support these initiatives by presenting creative and informative works that raise awareness about women’s leadership and contributions to society. The “Empowering Unity” section aligns with the #GADtoKnow Campaign by showcasing influential women who have led change in different fields. Meanwhile, the “Voices of Filipinas” section reflects the #SheSays initiative through poems and advocacy posters that express women’s experiences, strength, and empowerment. Our Purple Wednesday participation also supports the campaign encouraging people to wear purple as a symbol of justice, dignity, and women’s empowerment.
Through these works, our website aims to educate, inspire, and encourage participation in celebrating Women’s Month.

Lead Like the Babaylans
From the depths of heritage, a melody arises,
In the eyes of a woman where the true fire prizes.
No longer silent, no longer held in the shade,
A Filipino future, inclusive and brightly made.
Carry the banner of the 2026 inclusive theme,
Where equality is living, no longer a dream.
Filipinas, you lead with a power so grand,
With the spirit of Babaylans throughout the whole land.
Inclusive Society
The halls of BPSU echo with voices of the free,
Woven in a society that values all we can be.
Equality is the bridge that we build side by side,
With truth as our anchor and inclusive pride as our guide.
Babaylan Resilience
Leadership is a gift, a sacrifice of the heart,
In this celebration, every woman plays her part.
Resilient and radiant, like the morning sun's ray,
Leading like Babaylans through the challenges of the day.

Throughout history, women have played a vital role in shaping societies, advancing knowledge, and inspiring social change. From science and healthcare to leadership and human rights, their courage and determination have opened opportunities not only for women but for future generations. Figures such as Marie Curie, Rosa Parks, Florence Nightingale, Corazon Aquino, and Mother Teresa stand as powerful examples of leadership, resilience, and service.
Their contributions demonstrate that progress is often driven by individuals who believe in justice, compassion, and equality. Through their actions and achievements, they continue to inspire people around the world to stand for what is right, challenge limitations, and work toward a more inclusive and empowered society.
In the spirit of National Women’s Month, their legacy reminds us that when women are empowered and given equal opportunities, communities grow stronger and societies move forward together.
Students show their support for gender equality by wearing purple, the color that symbolizes justice, dignity, and women’s empowerment. By participating in Purple Wednesday, we stand together in celebrating National Women’s Month and promoting respect, equality, and recognition of women’s contributions in society.
